Pursuant to the requirements of Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001, as amended, Tipperary County Council hereby gives notice that it intends to carry out the following development: Description: Proposed recreational area consisting of a skate park, MUGA pitch and teenage area located of the N62 adjacent to Roscrea Leisure Centre and Roscrea Recycling Centre, Roscrea.
Upgrade works to Roscrea Recycling Centre located at Dublin Road, Demesne, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, E53 Y985. The proposed upgrade works will allow for a drop in the floor level where waste receptacles are located. This will allow for safer use of the facility by customers and improved access to service vehicles. The upgrade works include:
a) Construction of new concrete slab
b) Construction of retaining walls
c) Installation of perimeter fencing

The Council is inviting submissions from the public to identify priorities and help shape the future development of the town. This stage represents the ‘issues’ stage before a draft of the local area plan is published. An Issues Paper has been produced to help inform submissions and is available on this webpage.

Roscrea Enhancement Committee has just launched an online survey and is calling on members of the public to please support the initiative, by completing the survey.
Chairman of the Enhancement Committee, Brian king, explained this week that the survey is very much focused on gathering information that will be used to inform an all-new Town Centre First Masterplan for Roscrea. The Masterplan for the town, is already in the early stages of development with tenders for consultants, who will draft the Masterplan, at an advanced stage.
